Another Years End

Here it is again another year is to depart
Another holiday and a New Year to start
I hear the Christmas music every were I go
Greetings and cheer from every one you know
Happiness and laughter as the children wait
But do you remember what is we celebrate
It is about a birth a wondrous gift to men
Our Lord and Savior sent to save us from sin
Least we forget in all the pleasures of our day
Read about this birth listen to what they say
Can you imagine the ultimate joy of being there?
Take some time today bow your head in prayer
Another year is passing soon it will be gone
Time waits for no man we don¹t know how long
Have you thought about it or listened to the song
Of the baby Jesus and those who were so wrong
Do not turn your back on him it is time to atone
Will you be beside him as he sits upon his throne?
As you receive your gifts and presents on this holy day
Think about the wise men trying to find their way
Following the star to Bethlehem so many years ago
To the baby in the manger where the cattle low
Franks and myrrh were gifts these holy men brought
To a tiny little baby just what had God wrought ?
He died for us that child of God so that we might live
So savior what he did for us when your gifts you give
And don¹t forget the reason is a birth you celebrate
Another year has passed what will be your fate
Have all your parties and let your spirit soar
But to him be faithful never close the door
And remember who¹s Birthday it is this day
Do not forget our savior as you kneel to pray
Here it is again another year about to end
Another chance for us let the New Year Begin
